Elder abuse is becoming more common, so I think it’s fair to say that now is the time for concern. Every vulnerable and elderly person deserves the right to be safe, and taken care of with dignity. We all have somebody older that we love I would jump at the chance to take care of them but Sadly that’s not the case for everybody and Care homes are the only option, so I strongly believe that in every room of an elderly person there should be CCTV. I know that could cause some concern for some people in regards to peoples dignity, but if there was motion sensor cameras available that can activate as soon as a caregiver enters the room.  patient , their families and caregivers know that that camera is there it may give an abuser the chance to reconsider before they do something awful. if these cameras are available to all elderly, vulnerable people then that can only be a good thing and any footage can be reviewed quickly, if a patient shows concern or even a family member of theirs. Elder abuse is a thing, and it needs to stop so let’s help them feel safer in what is for some there very last Home.
