Stop AI Pretending to Be Human
The Issue
More and more often, the voice on the other end of the line is a deception. It's an AI voice bot, with a fake name, a fake laugh, and often no mention that it's a machine.
People have a right to know when they're talking to AI.

We, PEOPLE, call for technology businesses, policymakers, and experts to:
- Require AI systems to clearly disclose that you're talking to AI, not a person - and never deny it when asked.
- Stop AI from impersonating real people - e.g. cloning their voice, name or identity.
- Stop AI from using human names to pass as people - e.g. "Emma" or "Sarah". Names belong to people, not machines.
- Stop AI from replicating human-like voices and speech cues - pauses, tone, laughter etc.
- Stop AI from expressing personal opinions and anecdotes - implying it exists outside its interface.
- Limit AI's use of human-like terminology - e.g. "I," "me," "myself," "mine," "us" and "we".
Lend your human voice. Sign today. >>>>
See it for yourself
In the unedited footage below, an AI agent introduces itself with a human name, speaks in a human voice, and lies by claiming to be a live person when asked.
WHY is AI being designed to pass as human?
WHY are we given AI with human names and fake breathing?
AI should be a neutral tool that supports People, not one that deceives them.
Without clear parameters and control, real people are at risk of mass deception, on a scale we've never seen.
This is about protecting something simple: being human, and knowing when you're talking to one.
Add your name. Stop AI from Posing as People. >>>>
