As an artist sharing my work is often never done out of fear it’ll be taken from me to be used for big major companies. For them to take what I worked so hard to achieve so they can profit.

this matter always seems to be pushed under the rug. The shouts and screams from artists is never enough, and this progression of ai disruption will bleed into other places . Your jobs, your homes, your places. 
ai is not something to be promoted or cheered for, it’s not something to support. Allowing these companies to keep running generative ai in all its forms is actively harming our planet, our communities and our lives  and as long as we allow it to continue the worse it will get.

Art is a passion I’ve always loved, but I’ve found myself unable to post anything because I know my work will be used for their benefit.

when you post to any site, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube (you name it!) it automatically gets fed to Ai learning systems. Without any control over its use, no compensation for that information and essential loss of rights to that work. 
that work is then used to train ai models which can then Frankenstein (take bits and pieces of your work) to make “”new”” images based on given prompts.

I want so desperately for the rights to my work back, to be allowed to say NO 

Disapprove of their invasion of my rights. To be allowed to speak on my behalf.

However, all sites that allow for postage never permit  for you to publicly state that. They never allow for a form or a button to opt out.
instead it’s forced upon you, or in rare instances (like Instagram) is granted so long as your accounts remain private.

i want to draw attention to the fact that as a creator i should be able to have the right to opt out of invasive ai models stealing mine and others work. I should have the laws and the rights in place to protect what i made. At what point do we draw the light between “free use” and copyright infringement.
