Stop AI Data Centers Before They Change Florida Forever
The Issue
Florida is one of the most beautiful places in America.
Our springs, rivers, farmland, forests, beaches, wildlife, and small towns are part of what makes this state worth protecting.
Today, that future is being threatened by the rapid expansion of industrial AI data centers.
These massive facilities consume enormous amounts of electricity, require tremendous quantities of water, and accelerate industrial development that permanently changes the character of our communities.
Floridians are already dealing with rising utility costs, overcrowded roads, disappearing farmland, and relentless overdevelopment. We should not be asked to sacrifice even more so some of the world’s largest technology companies can build infrastructure that primarily serves artificial intelligence.
This isn’t about being anti-technology.
Florida welcomes innovation.
But innovation should never come at the expense of our drinking water, our natural resources, our property values, our wildlife, or our quality of life.
Once these facilities are built, there is no going back.
We believe Florida should remain a place where families can afford to live, farmers can continue to farm, wildlife can thrive, and future generations can enjoy the same natural beauty that previous generations worked so hard to protect.
We are calling on Florida’s elected leaders to:
• Ban the construction of new AI data centers in Florida.
• Protect Florida’s water resources and aquifers.
• Preserve farmland, wildlife habitat, and conservation lands.
• Prevent unnecessary increases in electricity demand that could raise costs for Florida families.
• Put Florida residents before corporate interests.
Florida doesn’t need to become the AI capital of America.
Florida should remain the Sunshine State.
If you believe our land, water, communities, and future are worth protecting, add your name today.
Together, we can keep Florida Florida.
