The Issue

We, the undersigned, are calling for immediate action to install a safety barrier at the corner of Hanley Rd and Pine Street to prevent further accidents and ensure the safety of our community.

Background: For an extended period, we have witnessed multiple crashes and vehicles veering off the road into our property. This has not only caused property damage but also instilled a constant fear of potential harm to ourselves and others. Each incident is a reminder that the current road conditions present a significant danger to those in the vicinity.

Our Concerns:

Safety of Our Family: We are particularly concerned about the safety of our children, who play in the yard. Every day, we fear that they may be at risk of being hit by a vehicle as they enjoy the outdoor space.

Inability to Enjoy Our Property: Even simple tasks, such as tending to our garden or sitting on the lawn, are filled with anxiety. We should not have to live in fear while simply being on our own property.

Danger to the Community: It’s not just our property that is at risk—other pedestrians, drivers, and residents are also exposed to this threat. The current situation is unacceptable and cannot continue.

Our Request: We respectfully request the installation of a safety barrier at the intersection of Hanley Rd and Pine Street to prevent vehicles from veering off the road into private property. This barrier would serve to protect not only our family but also the larger community from the devastating consequences of potential accidents.

Why This Matters:

The current risk is too high, and it’s only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured.
Our children should be able to enjoy their yard without the constant fear of accidents.
We should be able to maintain our garden and property in peace without the threat of vehicles crashing into our space.
We urge local authorities to prioritize the safety of our community by addressing this hazard. We believe that the installation of a safety barrier is a vital step toward creating a safer environment for all who live, work, and travel in this area.
