Stop Gun Ban Bills! -H.R. 1296, S.66, H.R. 2959, H.R. 282, H.R. 1236, H.R. 1186, H.R. 2708

The Issue

These bills are a direct violation of our 2nd amendment rights. They are trying to ban all weapons not just assault weapons. We need to stop all and any bills against the 2nd amendment.

These bills are a violation of the 2nd amendment are unconstitutional and need to be stopped. Our forefathers did not make our right to bare arms the 2nd amendment for nothing they knew the extreme importance of allowing the people to stay in power keeping the government in check with the ability to fight government tyranny. Beyond tyranny they wanted the people to be able to protect ones self and property. Also hunting and providing for ones self and family can not be overlooked but it is a very common misconception and used talking point of the mainstream media and gun ban supporters that this is why our forefathers wrote the 2nd amendment. History and even present events shows us what happens when you take away the guns from a countries people a perfect example being Nazi Germany and present day Venezuela. Guns do not hurt people they are an inanimate object! Those without morals that are just bad people or criminals and those with bad intentions and mental issues hurt people during these shootings. Statistics show us there are less “mass” shootings in present times then in our past. The media is glorifying this violence to help push bans just like this! Criminals will always break laws and our 20,000 current gun laws already proves this. We can not punish the innocent for the bad actions of just a few people! I’ll finish with a couple of quotes from our forefathers to think about.

“[W]hen the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually.”. . . I ask, who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers.” — George Mason Virginia`s U.S. Constitution ratification convention, 1788

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States.—”Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, 1787

“The said Constitution [shall] be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press, or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms.” — Samuel Adams Massachusetts` U.S. Constitution ratification convention, 1788
