Pure bred and designer puppies are being sold for thousands of dollars in Petland stores across the country. These dogs are being kept for months in small cages, sometime 2-3 at a time. They have not been outside, in grass or given exercise. The majority of these dogs come from puppy mills as stated in a USDA investigation in 2008/2009. For a time the company stopped selling puppies and began helping local shelters find homes for dogs in need. On a recent trip to Petland in Fort Walton Beach, Florida I was shown a $6,000 Bullmastiff puppy being kept in a very small cage with only enough room to stand up and turn around. Dogs are sick and weak and the store smells of urine. This is no life and this practice has to be stopped! Please sign this petition and help me be their voice!
