Do Not Close our Hobby Lobby

The Issue

Hobby Lobby at 1825 Rockbridge Rd. Suite 9A, Stone Mountain, GA  30087, will be closed on March 2020 unless loyal customers of this Hobby Lobby of Stone Mountain area and Lilburn area sign a petition for it to remain open and in business.

Whether you live in Dekalb County or Gwinnett, this location is very convenient and accessible.  The Stone Mountain Festival depends on anchor stores such as Wal Mart Supercenter, Hobby Lobby, and NCG.  The Hobby Lobby at Tucker, which is newer but a lot smaller, is located in a newly built but very awkward plaza, Tucker Meridian.  People, like me, prefer to shop at accessible stores.  The next Hobby Lobby is in Gwinnett County is near Snellville...10 miles away.  For people in Dekalb, the nearest Hobby Lobby would be far north in Ashford Dunwoody...15 miles.  (This doesn't include actual trip time due to sporadic traffic.)  Please don't make it a lot harder and farther for people to shop at your stores.

There are a lot of art festivals that depend on that Hobby Lobby store.  One big one is called Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain.  It's a large three-day festival.  I have witness people, last-minute, buying supplies.  Also, schools and churches depend on your store as well.

Please reconsider closing this store.  A lot of people in the community depend on it.

I will be glad to be the first to sign this petition.

Thank you for your time.
