Brief summary: I made this petition to make sure that our skaters in our community will have a safe place to skate especially during Covid when so many opportunities for exercise and social interaction are limited for young people. This is a prominent time to install lights at our skatepark and we are asking for the budget to do so. Please sign and share with others on your social media and tell our town councils how much this means to you, together we can make this change!

Tbh from what I’ve been hearing from the skate community in stl a lot of people want to skate longer in the day and Jefferson barracks skatepark is a very popular skatepark in St. Louis.  An addition of lights to the skatepark can help everyone by keeping skaters out of the streets and providing a skatepark anytime even in the night. Myself and others would really like it because other parks like westhoff have lights and it is so convenient in the winter months because it becomes dark so quickly.
