Refund Unused Meal Swipes

Refund Unused Meal Swipes
The Issue
We have 4 more weeks left of just this semester and I have 163 meal swipes left. That’s enough to swipe over 5 meal swipes a day. I usually go once maybe twice a day because of the quality of their food, the hours of operation, and my workload. I pay about $5,000 for this meal plan that is REQUIRED for an on campus student to have. Not once have I met a student who has gotten anywhere near the actually amount we have. Last year I had over 80 meal swipes left per semester. They need to either refund the ones not in use or lower the number and cost. I’m basically giving away money that will never be used for food to feed myself. They give tiny portions, they close down around 7pm when they are supposed to close at 7:30pm which is ridiculously too early for a college campus when we only have one other place to choose from to eat, most of their food is burned, we are eating out of metal tins with plastic silver ware, and they claim to run out of a lot of things come dinner time. With covid especially, they should be more flexible and understanding with refunds back to students because we all don’t want to go out all the time. Comment the amount of swipes you have left below to show them that this is a widespread problem that needs to be addressed.
