I wish I were contacting you to praise you for the work you have been doing for the people of Greater Manchester and for the dedication you have been putting into ensuring the people are safe within "your" city.

Sadly though this is far from the case of contacting you I have been reading a lot of media news articles lately regarding the treatment by police staff towards women and girls whilst in custody with this I feel you have failed not just the victims this will affect for the rest of their lives but the people of Manchester as this shows that you are incapable of ensuring that the People of Manchester are kept safe from your own employees.

I have witnessed many misconduct hearings throughout your recruitment replacing Ian Hopkins Many of which have been shocking and left me with more questions than answers on how things like this could be continuing to happen within the Police force.

In September 2001 you delivered plans to "Build a better Manchester" You then continued to address the great people of this city with a series of "public promises"

I quote "In September 2021, as your new Chief Constable, I set out our plan for building a better
Greater Manchester Police and made a series of public promises. I committed to reverse
this model and create a way forward for effectively reducing crime, harm and anti-social
behaviour through neighbourhood policing.

We scrapped the so-called “citizens contract” and instead asked people what they wanted
from neighbourhood policing through a major public consultation exercise in which nearly
8000 people took part. Their answers were clear:"

I am someone who loves this great City and the people who live here but sadly many people are feeling failed and let down by your promises more importantly when you promised to reduce "harm" when some of the people causing the harm are part of your Policing team and Staff.

I am tired of seeing news articles daily regarding Misconduct or Mistreatment by Greater Manchester Police in the local media this is not the Manchester we need or want.

How many more people have to get hurt? how many more people need to suffer from the failings of your Police Force before any action or any improvements are made?

This is now the time for the people of Manchester to call for action for Chief Constable Steve Watson to Resign.
