As an elected official, Kim Davis has taken an oath to serve the citizens of Rowan County, and to respect and uphold the laws of this dear country. Currently, Ms. Davis is refusing to issue marriage licenses as an expression of her personal beliefs. In doing so, she is not only breaking Federal law, but she is expressing disrespect and contempt for the country and people she is beholden to. While firing an elected official proves to be difficult, withholding pay for one who refuses to do the work of her office should not be. Unless and until Ms. Davis chooses to fulfill her duties, she deserves nothing. No work? No pay. It's that simple.
