The fans understand that Steve Spurrier is not a big fan of uniform changes. He has made that clear during his tenure at South Carolina, but it is very important to the fans to have the chance to see things like this from time to time.The current uniforms are not a problem but we want to see different things.  Myself along with thousands of other fans have asked for throwback uni's and even a new age alternate for select games for many years and even teased by pictures from the equipment room of different helmets etc. only to be denied and disappointed.  I think we as die hard fans that have supported the football program as well as any other school in the country for so long deserve this much.  The South Carolina fans have stood by their team through the good times and even the bad and the past was more bad than good as we all know. Even with that being the case, the fans still packed out Williams Brice regardless because we love our team. It is way past time to give back to the fans for a change whether it is something you (Spurrier) support or not. 

We have all seen that unless you are a big name school with lots of good history, you have to mix things up to compete on the recruiting trail which leads to being able to compete on the field as well. Uniform changes go over well with recruits and social media is proof of that everytime a school post's alternate uniforms.

I have added a link to some uniform combos consisting of mainly color schemes from the 80's and a few new age concepts that have went over well on social media. The Garnet & Black helmets were a staple of South Carolina football for many, many years.
