Have Steve Carell read Donald Trump quotes in character as Michael Scott.

The Issue

I am, as I type this, absolutely terrified.

When I first heard that Donald Trump was running for President it barely even registered. I didn't know much about him at the time, but I remembered that he had always talked about running and nothing really came of it. However, as the reality of the strength of his campaign became greater day by day, I inevitably starting learning more and more about this bizarre individual. I watched as he mocked his fellow candidates, expressed his desire to deport immigrants and refugees fleeing awful situations, refused to say anything that sounded remotely like a substantive policy decision, and, in short, make a complete and utter fool of himself. I figured "If the successful governor of Texas can blow his primary chances by forgetting the name of an executive agency (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/09/rick-perry-forgets-agencies_n_1085249.html) then surely the embodiment of everything modern culture vilifies would have his campaign destroyed by publicly making fun of a woman's period."

And here we are, in the aftermath of the most baffling Super Tuesday in the history of modern American elections.

I then realized that it wasn't simply enough to vote. I needed to do something more, something bigger. So I got to thinking: The reason Trump is popular is because he is a refreshing break from the factory produced politicians we are used to. He isn't afraid to go out there and break all the rules, tell it like it is. Honestly, after all the American people have had to put up with, I can understand. The problem is that Trump is simply not all he claims. He is an egoistical, deluded, childish liar who has been bankrupt multiple times and has no real plan for fixing America, at least not that he is telling us. The problem is that his massive voter-base cannot see that.

So here is my idea: Have Steve Carell, in character as Michael Scott from the show the office, perform a short sketch solely using lines that have been said by Donald Trump. If you are unfamiliar with the show, here is a short montage of Carell's Michael Scott, a businessman who's perception of his own charm, wit and intelligence is hilarious disproportionate to the truth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOhzwtbazRI

By contrast, here are some of Trump's best moments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt6_K6ftBDo

So why this? Besides simply being a hilarious idea that I think is long overdue, Carell's performance would undoubtedly instantly go viral. The way they are both obscenely arrogant, distasteful and clueless as to the absurdities they spout is so similar that its almost creepy. Millions of people all over the country would watch and see, because hey, who doesn't love Michael Scott? And maybe, just maybe, just maybe, the realization that the words coming out of Donald Trump's mouth work perfectly as lines for one of the most comically incompetent and immature bosses in the history of television shows will be enough to help some Trump supporters consider the *substance* (or lack, thereof) of the man, not just the tough guy break-the-system image he is projecting.

Current plan of action: If this petition hits 50,000, I will purchase a membership to a booking agency website and send them this petition. I'll also contact as many entertainment websites as I can, hopefully to get them to promote this petition.
