Save the remnant of the Rosebud wolf pack!

Save the remnant of the Rosebud wolf pack!
The Issue
Bob Gibson of the F&WS says there are about six wolves left in the Rosebud pack. To be clear, the remaining Rosebud wolf pack members are a female alpha, a yearling, and four pups, per Abby Nelson, who is the Region 3 wolf management specialist for Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Note that Nelson said two wolves from the pack were shot by hunters this fall.
If the remainder of the Rosebud pack must be removed - humanely capture them and allow a legitimate wolf sanctuary to care for them!
This would:
- satisfy local ranchers
- follow expert scientist advice, who explain that destroying pack members (as has been done with the Rosebud pack) actually encourages livestock predation due to reduced ability to hunt wildlife, and
- avoid deciding against the majority of Montana constituents who support wildlife conservation
Montana politicians have historically supported wildlife extermination policies - example: $100 wolf bounty in 2012 by Madison County commissioners, but it is time:
- to take a stand for a healthy ecosystem that humans need for survival
- for our elected leaders to listen to science, and
- for our elected leaders to listen to the majority of their constituents.
