We need your support to save the beautiful 100-year English Oak Tree IN CLAPPINS LANE, along with ancient hedgerows bordering the field currently earmarked for development!

REF: Planning Application: 19/08031/FUL. 

This field is in an AONB and was recently removed from its greenbelt status. It is surrounded by ancient hedgerows, a wide and long copse of trees (also recently removed from Tree Protection Orders) and the magnificent Oak tree, all of which are now at risk of being torn down. To destroy this beautiful Oak tree for 9.5 metres of flat, black tarmac footway for newcomers to the proposed development in Clappins field, would amount to an ecological crime.

Our Clappins English Oak has supported more life forms than any other native tree species in the area. 326 species are completely dependent on Oaks. They are host to hundreds of insect species, an important food source for birds, butterflies, stag beetles, bats and various fungi. Mammals such as squirrels, badgers and deer, all of which are in abundance in this area, feed on the acorns.

The residents of Naphill and Walters Ash, Bucks, continue to fight against this crime against the environment and need as many signatures as possible, for Buckinghamshire Council to start taking our fight seriously.
