I've been living in PG county for the past 2 years and I always wondered why are there such few options to commute.

As you all know MARC only serves Northern MD all the way to WV but not Southern Maryland even though the train tracks are already there! What I propose is to use the existing tracks that where used to transport Coal to congress (which they no longer use) to transport people to their jobs, BWI, boost tourism, lower emissions, etc.

With this petition we could free our routes and integrate Southern MD with the rest of MD and the DMV area. The pilot project could start from La Plata and connect to Penn Line in Bowie. Transportation Authorities would only have to build some stations and put some MARC trains. This could boost development of our counties so much!!!
