Cameron Dick, Queensland's treasurer and deputy premier has "assured" us, the people of Queensland, that our new train station - the first in Brisbane's CBD in 120 years - will not be called 'Station McStation-face' .

However, we the undersigned people of Queensland firmly believe that, contrary to The Honorable Mr Dick's casual proclamation against our wishes, that our new Brisbane CBD train station, should indeed be called Station McStation-face.

We refuse to make the same mistakes that Melbourne and Victoria made, when their very own Dan Andrews, also dissolved the wishes of his very own constituents in giving their new CBD train station the same suggested name - clearly a popular choice in our great nation.

Let's be realistic: whatever other name they'll potentially use, the vast majority of Queenslanders are simply going to think it's lame.

Not only would QLD be leading the way in Australia with this incredibly popular name, but we would undoubtedly be putting ourselves on the map in heralding a new dawn of modern city infrastructure naming, honoring the re-evolution of popular, gender non-specific language and indeed, the colourful and creative vernacular that exists on the streets, in our bars and across the land we call Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
