The potential decision by the European Commission and Council to cancel sanctions against Arvan Cloud is likely to face significant opposition from the Iranian populace, especially given recent revelations regarding its associations with entities linked to human rights violations. Reports indicate that Arvan Cloud has received assistance from organisations such as the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) and Human Rights Watch (HRW), which is raising serious concerns about its commitment to upholding human rights standards.

 

These collaborations suggest a troubling pattern wherein Arvan Cloud may have played a role in facilitating activities contrary to fundamental human rights principles despite its claims to the contrary. The involvement of HRW, a respected human rights organisation, and NIAC, an advocacy group, in supporting Arvan Cloud's efforts further complicates the situation. It raises questions about the integrity of these organisations and their potential complicity in actions that undermine human rights in Iran.

 

In light of these revelations, any decision to lift sanctions against Arvan Cloud must be subjected to rigorous scrutiny, taking into account the broader implications for human rights in Iran.
