Fund the anti bullying - "I'm Sorry" Project

Fund the anti bullying - "I'm Sorry" Project
The Issue
In Feb. 2014 the play "I'm Sorry" premiered at the Mid Winter Madness Festival in NYC. Playwright Debbie Lannen is now working to get the funding so this play can tour to 60 schools thoughout the State of Michigan free of charge. This educational piece is important in bringing the message of anti bullying to the students.
What makes live theatre important as an educational tool, is that it is real, right in front of the audience. Reactions to the play have been very positive. Comments included: "This happens everyday at my school."
"Every student at my school needs to see this."
"I can relate to this play. I recognize every character on that stage. They walk the halls of my school."
The "I'm Sorry" project brings about the idea that instead of teaching children to say I'm sorry after the fact, why not stop that which causes us to have a need to say I'm sorry.
Please sign my petition and show the legislature that this project needs to be funded. If we save one child it will all be worth it!
