I firmly believe that Medi-Cal should cover the cost of medicinal cannabis because of its health benefits. I am a liver disease patient who is taking prescription drugs to suppress symptoms and make life "comfortable" while I wait to die. Many (if not most) of the pharmaceuticals we are given come with side-effects that are worse than the condition they are supposed to be treating. However, none of them actually address the cause.

There are many terminally ill patients who have used natural healing agents to address the cause of their sicknesses and have improved their health along with extended their life expectancy. For the past 9 months I have been battling my illness. As soon as I started using medicinal CBD, my liver enzymes have improved, my jaundice has improved and I'm beginning to (slowly) return to work. My doctor did not expect me to live this long, but here I am.

I also have a friend who has been dealing with Cancer along with other infirmities who was expected to expire some years ago and has been helped greatly by using cannabis. 

Cannabis works great with our bodies in restoring normalcy to our systems and how our system communicates with crucial organs. Once our organs stop communicating or become confused, our own bodies become our greatest enemy; it attacks itself A.K.A autoimmune disorders set in.

Many are turning to cannabis. It should be available to all who need it.
