Arrest the Orlando cop who killed unarmed teenager Karvas Gamble Jr.

The Issue

We want the Orange-Osceola State Attorney and the U.S. Attorney to prosecute the cop who killed Karvas Gamble Jr. in 2013. There is no statute of limitations for murder, which means the cop can still be put on trial.

Though a grand jury didn’t indict Orlando Police Detective Christopher Bigelow, it took the unusual step of writing a report that criticized the out-of-control warrantless raid of a small Orlando church that ended with Karvas’ death on Jan. 16, 2013.

The grand jury report said, in part: “It is apparent to us there was little specific planning that went into this operation…None of the officers were given any specific assignments but simply fanned out to cover 3 sides of the structure…Our conclusion bluntly is that this should not have happened.”

For 8 years Karvas’ mom, Tanjila Lippett-Gamble, has struggled to get justice for her son. Karvas was sweeping up in a back room of the small church when Orlando Police Detective Bigelow fired through an open window killing the teen.

Karvas Gamble Jr. is dead. Detective Bigelow has not paid for this crime.

Please sign this petition to get justice for Karvas and his family.
