JSO's Officer Sgt. J.C. Nobles, a 16 year plus veteran. Nobles has been involved in few police shootings and making countless false arrests. He shot and wounded a man in Springfield in 2008. The following year, 2009 Nobles and another officer fatally shot a man who police said pointed a gun at them.

March of 2015 he murder a 16 year old teenager Kendre Omari Alston after a police chase in Northside.

In August of 2016 Marquis Jackson was stopped after Nobles say he ran a stop sign. After the stop, Marquis was charged for resisting arrest, possession of a firearm and cocaine. In 2018 the state attorney dropped the case after a judge said, Sgt. J.C. Nobles testimony was not credible after he changed his story about the traffic stop. 

April 2020, Nobles who was not injured shot and killed a woman after responding to a call about a dispute between two roommates. Make this his fifth police involved shooting. In his 16 year career, he has not had his administrative review.
