At GFS Network, we are a dedicated group of over 250 photographers and videographers operating out of the beautiful state of Goa. As professionals deeply invested in capturing the essence of Goa through aerial imagery, we eagerly awaited the announcement of the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) drone licensing program by our honorable Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant. This initiative promised to elevate our work standards by providing us the legal clearance and expertise needed to operate drones professionally across various assignments.

However, despite the promise, the program has yet to commence at ITI Cacora, leaving us, along with many other young enthusiasts and professionals, at a disadvantage. This delay not only hampers our ability to expand our skills and certify our passion but also impedes the state's progress in becoming a hub for tech-enabled creative industries.

The need for such a program is dire. According to data from the Indian Drone Industry Report (2022), the drone market in India is expected to grow by 20% over the next five years. Drones are transforming industries ranging from agriculture and filmmaking to safety and surveillance. Goa, with its scenic beauty and technological potential, stands to gain immensely from this growth, provided it has the requisite skilled workforce.

With a DGCA-approved drone licensing course at ITI Cacora, not only would we nurture local talent, but also attract professionals from across the country to our state, thereby boosting the local economy and tourism indirectly. As the demand for high-quality aerial shots rises, this training would equip Goans with the skills necessary for jobs of the future. This program could position Goa as a pioneering state in drone technology, drawing investments and fostering innovation centered around aerial tech.

We urge Dr. Pramod Sawant and the authorities at ITI Cacora to prioritize the initiation of this course. Let us work together to remove the barriers holding back an industry with such promising potential for growth. By doing so, Goa can stand at the forefront of this technological revolution.
