A carbon tax is a fee imposed on the burning of carbon-based fuels (coal, oil, gas). Basically, the government sets a price that emitters must pay for each ton of greenhouse gas emissions they emit. 

If we start carbon taxing, the world will see a difference (decrease) in greenhouse gas emissions. The carbon is a toxin that is depleting oxygen on our planet. Seeing a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions will lead to a healthier planet. 

The senators of Oregon, Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, can help us work towards enforcing carbon taxing. I am targeting the senators of the state of Oregon because they have the power to make changes in policy. They would bring awareness to the congress and government to make the change.
