The Issue

EDIT: We're going to have to go after Corteva Agriscience, which is the main manufacturer of Tordon. And a new research study discovered that exposure to picloram raises your risk for developing colorectal cancer by over 150%. That's literally insane! No news networks are even touching on this either! They keep saying the reason is lack of fiber and exercise, when in reality, eating a bunch of produce from the grocery store might actually be making your risk higher!

I am writing this petition with a heavy heart, driven by a deeply personal story that demands attention: the rise of early-onset colorectal cancer in young adults. The cause? We suspect it stems from picloram, a herbicide commonly used in agricultural practices, which recent studies have linked to various forms of cancer, including colorectal cancer.

According to several peer-reviewed studies, picloram is a chemical that, while effective for its intended use, poses significant health risks due to its carcinogenic properties. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized potentially harmful effects of agricultural chemicals, yet picloram is still widely used in many farming processes across the country.

Statistics from health organizations illustrate a disturbing rise in early-onset colorectal cancer, especially in rural areas with high levels of herbicide application. This correlation cannot be ignored, and it suggests a pressing need to hold accountable those corporations perpetuating this public health hazard.

Therefore, I urge victims and the families affected to unite in filing a class action lawsuit against manufacturers and users of picloram. This lawsuit seeks not only compensation for those already affected but also a change in regulatory policies governing agricultural chemical use to prevent further harm.

We must ensure that chemicals like picloram, linked to life-threatening diseases, are rigorously regulated and, if necessary, banned to protect future generations. It is our responsibility to demand a safer, healthier environment for our children.

Sign this petition to support this cause and make a stand against negligent practices and to demand justice for those who suffer because of them. Together, we can drive change against the misuse of harmful chemicals and safeguard our communities from the devastating impacts of early-onset colorectal cancer.
