In Starbucks' dress code it is stated that it is a health code violation for employees to have their nails painted due to the fact nail polish can chip and end up in drinks (apparently). I believe this portion of the dress code is outdated, as there are so many ways to have your nails painted and the color would not even budge for a solid month. Nail decorating  is a sign of creative expression for some, not to mention a simple, yet eye catching conversation piece, if done correctly. Not to mention, there are lots of fast food restaurants that have employees with decor that work with their hands more than a Starbucks Partner.

 With this petition, I am asking for an update to the dress code to get with the times. To allow Partners (beyond the office workers, such as District Managers) to express ourselves with the one thing customers notice besides the smile at the handoff station.
