Starbucks Canada please stop using Earth’s Own oat milk (which is no longer gluten free)
Earth’s Own recently released that they will no longer be producing gluten-free oat milk.
For people with Celiac and Gluten intolerance this is a very unfortunate change, especially given the fact that Earth’s Own is the brand that Starbucks Canada uses for their oat milk drinks.
Not only will this prevent anyone who cannot have gluten from enjoying an oat milk beverage at Starbucks Canada, but the use of this oat milk will also increase the chance of cross contamination for any other beverages using steamed milk.
People who have the dietary restriction of no gluten are aware that there is always a chance of cross contamination and there are no guarantees at Starbucks Canada, but we have learned what beverages have lower risk than others, and how to ask for a beverage to be lower risk. However, knowing that the steamer is a large part in making most hot beverages, it makes it difficult for us to feel safe without having to ask and hope that the equipment can be cleaned sufficiently.
not to mention, we love oat milk beverages and wish to still enjoy them too!
Please Starbucks Canada, switch to a gluten free oat milk brand!
