Star Wars may have started out as just a sci-fi movie, but it has become so much more than that. In the forty something years since the first film was released, Star Wars has become a world wide phenomenon, spanning eleven movies, multiple live action and animated series, books, action figures, clothing, and countless other merchandise. This franchise has positively impacted people from all over the world, fans all over the world have long held May the Fourth as international Star Wars day. Now it's time to make that day official, and make May the Fourth a Public Holiday.
