A boundary initiative was filed with the Stanislaus County Office of Education by housing developer, Ronald Katakis.  He wants the northwest corner of Tuolumne and Waring roads to be transferred from the Denair school district to the Turlock Unified School District where he plans to build approximately 129 new homes. This redistricting will take future developer fees and ADA away from our small district for many years to come.  Denair Unified School District has made tremendous strides to bounce back from the turmoil it was in over the past two years and this initiative could take us back to square one.  Our district has the potential of losing close to $2 million dollars in future revenue if this passes which is approximately 22% of our budget.  Please stand with me to oppose this initiative.
