Standing up for all Homeowners and making a positive change at Taylorcrest Condominiums!
The Issue
I am a homeowner at Taylocrest Condominiums, Houston, TX, USA. Like many others, I have invested my hard-earned money into this property. However, the current board of directors has shown a blatant disregard for our rights and interests. They have excluded wind insurance from our policies which has significantly devalued our properties. This is not just an oversight; it's an act of negligence that puts us all at financial risk.
Moreover, the board has been dishonest in their communication with homeowners. Which I have emails that have been documented and are available upon request. They have told me there was no issue in lack of insurance to me after telling my realtor they did in fact lack the proper insurance for lenders. They had once, attempted to charge me a late fee despite my payments being on auto draft - an issue caused by administration in the first place.
What's worse is the discrimination I've faced from the management team. Unlike other homeowners who can make payments via email, I've been singled out and asked to deliver my payment in person by Charli Quinn - even though I've never missed or been late on a single payment. This was retaliation in simple requests from my realtor she deemed problematic when in fact we’re not.
This isn't just about me - it's about all homeowners at Taylocrest Condominiums who deserve fair treatment and responsible management that respects their fiduciary duties.
We demand immediate action:
1) The board must adhere strictly to its bylaws and look out for the best interest of ALL homeowners!
2) Proper wind insurance policies must be secured for all homeowners.
3) The current board should be replaced with responsible management committed to fairness in future financial decisions.
4) All avenues suggested by homeowners for better protection, fairness and management of the property should be taken into consideration with respect!
5) Office staff be held responsible for misconduct.
It’s time we stand up against this injustice happening right under our roofs! In which they have refused to supply me with the new roof windstorm certificate.
