We the residents for Elita Garden Vista, Action Area 3, Newtown, Kolkata, West Bengal are deeply disturbed by the recent incident occurred on 12th March 2024 around 00:00-01:00 hours involving the brutal assault on our security guard by two of our society's residents, Ms. Swarnankee Mukherjee and Mr. Anirban Biswas. This incident occurred when the guard was simply carrying out his duty to safeguard the entrance of our Tower 7 from a few stray dogs, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the residents.

We condemn this act of violence in the strongest possible terms. No individual, regardless of their position or status, should ever resort to such barbaric behaviour, especially against someone who is diligently fulfilling their responsibilities to maintain the security and well-being of our community.

Therefore, we call upon the management committee and authorities to take immediate and decisive action against Ms. Swarnankee Mukherjee and Mr. Anirban Biswas for their reprehensible conduct. We demand that appropriate legal action be taken against them to ensure that justice is served and that such acts of violence are not repeated in the future.

The security guard is hospitalized and is coping with his injuries currently. We all hope this reaches volumes so that he gets his respect and health back.
