Stand with Little Village: Demand Action After Swastika Attacks

The Issue

Swastikas were spray-painted across multiple buildings in Little Village—including the front door of Latinos Progresando, a nonprofit that serves the Mexican community on Chicago’s Southwest Side. These symbols weren’t just graffiti. They were a message. And that message was hate.

This wasn’t an isolated act. It’s part of a pattern. Community members are already under pressure—from ICE activity to under-resourced services—and now, they’re facing explicit attempts to scare them into silence.

But the people of Little Village aren’t backing down. They’ve made it clear: they won’t be intimidated, and they won’t stop serving their community. That resilience deserves more than respect. It deserves action.

We’re calling on Mayor Brandon Johnson, local aldermen, and state leaders to ensure that this hate crime is investigated fully and prosecuted accordingly. We also demand immediate support for the community—including resources for impacted organizations and protection for other vulnerable spaces.

Chicago cannot claim to be a sanctuary city if its communities are left to face this kind of hatred alone. What happens in Little Village affects us all.

Sign this petition to show you won’t look away—and to urge leaders to act before more damage is done.
