A 2016 report by the African Peer Review Mechanism recognises that xenophobia, racism, and other forms of discrimination and intolerance are massively widespread in Africa. It highlights the substantial gap between policy and practice in numerous countries, including where Chidinma resides. Our cultures, histories, and struggles are interwoven, creating a vibrant tapestry that unites us. Yet, discrimination based on nationality undermines this unity, hindering our collective progress. Let us stand together, as South Africans, Nigerians, and global citizens, to dismantle the barriers erected by prejudice. It's time to celebrate diversity, foster unity, and demand fair treatment for all, regardless of their nationality.
