The Issue

We, members of the Jewish community in Ann Arbor and from around the world, stand firmly in support of Champions Liquor and its owner, Robert. Champions Liquor is not only a business but also a vital part of our community, and together we raise our voice as one against antisemitism.

We call upon the management and ownership of University Towers to reconsider their unjust and harmful decision to evict Champions Liquor, a decision that threatens Robert’s livelihood and the well-being of his family. Such an action not only undermines the values of fairness and community but also seeks to silence a place that has long stood as a beacon of service and support to the Jewish community.

We respectfully request that University Towers extend the lease for a minimum of five years or more. This would allow Champions Liquor the necessary time to plan for the future, relocate under fair conditions, and continue serving the community that values, cherishes, and relies upon it.

Attached are the signatures, names, and phone numbers of all those who stand in solidarity with Champions Liquor.
