The Issue

The recent wave of student visa revocations under the Trump administration is an outright attack on free speech and academic freedom. Hundreds of international students, many with no serious infractions beyond participating in pro-Palestinian protests or minor violations, are now being forced to leave the United States.

This isn’t about national security; it’s a political move to silence dissent and punish students for exercising their First Amendment rights.

These students, who represent the future of innovation, culture, and global understanding, deserve the opportunity to study and contribute to our society. For many, this decision has upended their futures, including students who were just days away from graduating. Their contributions to universities, local communities, and industries across the country cannot be erased by this unjust action.

The loss of these students is not just a personal tragedy for them, but a blow to the intellectual and cultural fabric of the United States. We must act swiftly to reinstate these students’ visas, protect their rights, and preserve the values that have always made our nation a beacon of opportunity and free expression.

We demand that the government reverse this decision, allow these students to continue their studies, and stop using visa revocations as a tool to silence voices.
