Stagecoach to keep Hyde Road and Ashton Depots

The Issue

It has recently been announced that in January 2025 as the third and final phase of the Bee Network is integrated that Stagecoach are going to be losing Hyde Road, Ashton and Shartston depot. Some of you reading this may not be 100% satisfied with the service Stagecoach are providing however over the last 20 years of serivce in the Manchester area they have shown large scale investments and dedication to providing modern transport in the area. The Bee Network operate on contracts and after "Metroline" another bus company popular in London (Has never ran in Manchester before) has won the contracts for these depots they will begin operations in January 2025 making Stagecoachs 20 years of improvements go to waste. Id like to say that they won this contract as they offered less amount of money to run the depot than Stagecoach showing that TFGM are choosing operators based on the cost rather than the quaility. I can confidently say that the routes operated out of these garages will see serious lack of efficiency and reliability considering Metroline have zero experience in Manchester and the last 2 phases of Bee Network in Wigan / Oldham / Bury and Middleton have both seen a serious lack in quality of service operations. I hope by the votes achieved here show TFGM (Bee Network) the importance of Stagecoach and how much us a customers rely on the services that they provide. Stagecoach have spent millions investing across the Manchester network over the last 20 years only for TFGM to force them to throw it away. We need to show them that Stagecoach should stay and that if the buses are under "public control" like they say they should do whats best for the public which is keeping Stagecoach in charge of these bases.
