Expansion of Staff Parking Allocation to Lower and Upper Levels of the Great Eastern Highway Car Park and installation of shade sails and CCTV to all parking areas.

To the Management of Midland Gate Shopping Centre,

We, the undersigned retailers and staff members of Midland Gate Shopping Centre, respectfully request a review and amendment of the current staff parking allocation at the Great Eastern Highway car park.

At present, staff parking is restricted, creating ongoing challenges including:

• Limited availability during peak trading periods
• Delays to staff arriving for shifts
• Reduced convenience and safety, particularly for late-night workers
• Sun damage to vehicles
• Increased risk of damage and theft due to lack of CCTV and adequate lighting at night 

We propose that both the lower and upper levels of the Great Eastern Highway car park be formally designated for staff parking, as well as having the upper levels equipped with shade sails, better lighting, and CCTV. 

Making these changes across both levels would:

• Improve operational efficiency for retailers
• Reduce unnecessary stress for employees
• Improve punctuality and reliability
• Reduce risk of damage and theft to private property
• Promote a fair and practical solution for all businesses within the centre

We believe this change would create a more functional and supportive environment for retailers and their teams, while maintaining a positive customer experience.

We respectfully request that management review this proposal and engage with store representatives to discuss implementation.
