🚨 STACY’S LAW — PARLIAMENT UPDATE
Stacy’s story has been raised in the Scottish Parliament again, alongside her family’s continuing call for GPS tracking to help protect others from domestic abuse.
MSP Pauline McNeill highlighted Stacy’s murder and called for the Scottish Government to speed up the roll-out of GPS tracking, while raising concerns about the lack of progress.
First Minister John Swinney has already said the issue is receiving “urgent attention” and that progress should be made “as quickly as possible.”
But we still have no clear timetable.
Urgent attention must now become urgent action.
Stacy’s Law is calling for GPS monitoring in high-risk domestic abuse cases, with exclusion zones, breach detection, alerts and rapid action to help protect the person at risk.
Stacy should be alive.
When I started this petition following Stacy’s death, I believed we had to try to turn this devastating loss into change that could help protect someone else.
We have got this issue heard in Parliament. Now I need your help to keep the pressure on.
