It’s time for action: we need a confirmed date for roll out

🚨 STACY’S LAW — WE NEED A DATE

Scotland is already electronically monitoring people on bail.

The Scottish Government has committed to a GPS pilot.

The First Minister says it is receiving “urgent attention.”

So why are people at high risk of domestic abuse still waiting?

Stacy’s Law is about protecting the person at risk — and, where appropriate, their children and family — from someone who has already been identified as posing a serious domestic abuse risk.

GPS monitoring could help enforce individually assessed exclusion zones around places such as the person at risk’s home, workplace and other important locations, detecting when a monitored perpetrator enters an area they have been ordered to stay away from.

It could allow police to know about a breach quickly and the person at risk to be alerted, giving vital warning and allowing action to be taken.

We know the technology exists.

We know electronic monitoring on bail is already being used.

We know GPS is being considered.

NOW WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN.
When will the GPS pilot start?

When will GPS monitoring be available in high-risk domestic abuse cases?

When will we see a clear timetable for implementation?

Stacy should be alive.
