NH State Dive Championships '21- Level the playing field!

NH State Dive Championships '21- Level the playing field!
Why this petition matters
The NHIAA is the governing body for New Hampshire high school sports.
With regards to diving - there was a degree of difficulty cap of 9.0 this season as stated in the policy and procedure handbook on-line. That cap was lifted mid-season and the NHIAA did not properly communicate this information to schools based on their own by-laws (NHIAA is supposed to communicate with Principals or Athletic Directors only) An email was sent out to a few swim coaches across the state, but not all.
The divers that were not aware of the cap being lifted are going into States on Friday, February 19th with watered down dives because they did not know the cap was lifted.
The NHIAA acknowledged and apologized for the miss-communication but did not offer to fix the problem they created.
They should
1. Allow a last chance meet on Friday, February 19th before states so divers have the opportunity to qualify their harder dives at states.
2. put the original cap of 9.0 back on for all divers.
Any divers that were aware of the cap being lifted have an unfair advantage going into the State Championships. Their dives allow for higher degrees of difficulty and therefore have an advantage over everyone else before they even step on the board.
Please demand that the NHIAA level the playing field and fix the problem that they created. Thank-you!
