In early 2021, Navy Yard on Main announced it was bringing its restaurant and biergarten concept to the Town of Lexington in late Spring 2021.

Located at 102 West Main Street, a property formerly home to Carpet One, Navy Yard on Main is set to feature 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining space. Designed to be a family friendly atmosphere, the restaurant and biergarten's out of the ordinary food menu, large selection of craft beer, and vast amount of outdoor dining, games, and entertainment space truly makes Navy Yard on Main a very unique destination for the Town of Lexington.

That said, Navy Yard on Main was recently informed that St. Stephen's Lutheran Church of Lexington has filed a protest of its application for a beer, wine, and liquor licenses with the South Carolina Department of Revenue. Because of this protest, our project remains delayed indefinitely, and may not be able to open at all.

Our team, on countless occasions, has tried to resolve the matter with the church and its leadership team. However, despite our countless efforts, the church has signaled their desire to continue their protest and intend for it be heard before an Administrative Law Court in the State of South Carolina.

The court could rule in favor of Navy Yard on Main – but it could also rule against us. If the court does rule against us and denies our application for these alcoholic beverage licenses, Navy Yard on Main will not be able to open at 102 West Main Street in the Town of Lexington.

But, it's not too late. Before the protest is heard before a court, St. Stephen's Lutheran Church can choose to work to resolve this matter with Navy Yard on Main directly, and provide the restaurant and biergarten with a waiver in support of their application for these licenses.

The Navy Yard team stands ready to work with St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, and we humbly ask you, members of the community, to support us and our local business. Please sign this petition, and urge St. Stephen's Lutheran Church to resolve this matter with us before reaching a courtroom.

As members of a community with such close ties to one another, it is our firm belief that together, we can work through this and bring an incredible concept to the Lexington community.
