St Peter's Place - Time for change to keep our estate safe for children & well maintained
The Issue
I live in the St Peter’s Place estate in Salisbury, developed by Persimmon Homes, and I’ve seen first hand how poor maintenance and management can affect our community.
Growing up should be a joyful experience, complete with safe areas for children to play. However, as a resident, I can’t even allow my own child to run in the parks because of the poor state in which they are maintained. Threats to health and safety abound, all due to the negligence of the current maintenance body, Remus Management Ltd. The situation is exacerbated by the incomplete roads near my property, further highlighting how substandard their service is.
Many of the public areas upon the estate haven’t been maintained to a reasonable standard. Despite the glaring issues, Remus Management Ltd has been sending out threatening letters demanding payment, yet the upkeep is absolutely subpar, and the costs are unreasonable with disproportionate charges. The lack of transparency on how this money is being/ will be spent is unacceptable, and it's time for a change.
We call on our building developers, Persimmon Homes, to remove Remus Management Ltd from its position immediately. Their replacement should be a management team willing to provide the required standard of care and upkeep to our estate. Only then can St Peter’s Place live up to its full potential as a safe, beautiful and inclusive community.
As members of this community, we deserve timely maintenance and fair charges. The playgrounds should be welcoming and safe, roads should be complete, and communal areas should reflect the contributions of the residents.
Our homes and children’s wellbeing shouldn’t be compromised for inefficiency. We urge our community in Salisbury to stand together, challenging this neglect until significant changes are made. We need your support to ensure due actions are taken against Remus Management Ltd, so we can start seeing improvements straight away.
By signing this petition, you are supporting a change for the better—better management, better facilities, and a better community for everyone in St Peter’s Place. Let’s ensure our voices are heard and that Persimmon Homes understands the importance of proper estate management for all its residents.
