In previous years, Year 10's at St Pat's finished the school year early around week 8, giving them an 8 week school holiday over the summer instead of the normal 6 weeks that all year groups have. An 8 week holiday is the perfect time needed for Year 10's to prepare to transition to Year 11. Majority of the assessments take place in the first half of Term 4, meaning there is nothing to do for the rest of the term except for useless extra work given to fill in the gaps. We believe that because of the large number of assessments in Term 4, e.g. 3 Maths Assessments in the span of 1 week taking place in inconvenient times such as the Harbour Cruise, we deserve an earlier leave (8 week holiday) that other Year 10's have enjoyed. LET US FINISH EARLY!!
