In 2018 a picture of two men with different sentencing went viral. One was a white man (Chase Legleitner) and the other was a black man (Lamar Lloyd). Both were charged with the same crime, both had the same total points, and both had the same judge (Sherwood Bauer Jr). However, the only difference was Lamar Lloyd was given a longer sentence (26 years) and Chase was ONLY given 2 years. Now in 2020 the same picture is going viral. The issue is that the judge is racist. He has a past of giving black people or anyone with darker skin a longer sentence than their white counterparts. We, as a society, need to get him and many other racist judges out of our justice system to see a change!
