To the Administration and School Board of St. George SSCD,

We, the undersigned parents, guardians, and supporters of St. George SSCD students, request the placement of a full-time licensed school nurse at our school. The health and safety of our children should be a priority every day they are on campus, and a full-time nurse is an essential part of maintaining a safe learning environment.

Students come to school with a wide range of medical needs, including allergies, asthma, diabetes, seizure disorders, and other health conditions that require professional monitoring and care. In addition, illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies can occur unexpectedly during the school day. A full-time nurse would ensure that students receive prompt and appropriate care, medications are administered safely, health concerns are addressed professionally, and emergency situations are managed effectively.

Parents trust the school to provide a safe environment where their children can learn and thrive. Having a licensed nurse on campus throughout the school day would provide peace of mind to families, support teachers and staff, reduce disruptions to learning, and help ensure that every student receives the care they need when health issues arise.

We believe that access to a full-time school nurse is not a luxury but a necessity. Our children deserve immediate access to qualified medical support while at school, and our school community deserves the confidence that student health and safety are being fully protected.

For these reasons, we urge the administration and school board to prioritize funding and staffing for a full-time licensed school nurse at St. George SSCD and to communicate a plan for implementing this important position as soon as possible.
