For over 150 years, St David’s School has been at the heart of the Mold community, supporting generations of families. More than just a place of education, St David’s fosters a strong sense of family, a nurturing environment, and a deep connection within its school community—With inclusive values and a wholistic approach, the very best foundation for learning is offered to all, Values that extend beyond its Catholic foundation, and benefit our diverse school community.
The proposed closure of St David’s would have a profound impact:

- Increased Pressure on Local Schools: Other schools in the area would become overcrowded, stretching resources and staff, limiting access to wrap around provision and adding to traffic at key times of day.
-Loss of Parental Choice: Education is not one-size-fits-all—some children thrive in smaller schools, where they receive tailored attention and a close-knit support system.
-A Loss for the Community: Closing St David’s would mean some children must travel long distances to school, disrupting their ability to form strong local ties.

Mold is a growing town, with new housing developments bringing new families. These families deserve the right to choose the best education for their children, including the unique environment St David’s provides. Generations of students hold fond memories of this school, where they received not only an excellent academic foundation but also a lifelong sense of community and belonging.

We must act now to protect this vital institution. Help us keep St David’s open to continue serving families and strengthening our community.
