Increase the Boundary Length of LPL 2020 T20 Championship

Increase the Boundary Length of LPL 2020 T20 Championship

The Issue

As Sri Lankans, we are very grateful for having our own Local T20 tournament. This will be helpful for the young Sri Lankan cricket stars and also the current members of the SLC team to find their rhythm and claim the reputation back Sri Lanka had in the cricketing arena.

Organizing a championship in this calibre has to be in quality standards. Even though SLC has stated that the boundary length of MRIC Stadium is 70 yards, which is in the regualtion size (65 - 90 yards), we as spectators see the ground is too small. It may be in the intentions of having more boundaries and make the tournament more batting-friendly, but seeing the vacant available area, we feel that the boundaries can be made bigger.

Yes Sharjah cricket ground is only 64 yards, but deliberately reducing the length of MRIC stadium seems foolish. Please consider this request and hope the SLC will increase the boundary length so we can have a more quality tournament.
