This is a violation of the contracts which Sprint signed, and which their mobile broadband customers also signed. If Sprint is allowed to get away with this, this means no contract any customer signs for such services is worth the paper it's written on. In effect, Sprint, and other similar companies, will be exempt from contract law. The long-standing implications of this, if Sprint succeeds in doing this, are hair-raising as a precedent.
