Last month, Springfield City Councilor Orlando Ramos expressed his strong opposition to the Springfield Water & Sewer Commission over their proposed 16.9% rate increase.  Since then, the Commission has announced that they have reduced that amount to 9.5%.  Councilor Ramos says that does not go far enough!

The people who are going to be affected by this, their residential customers, many of them are unemployed.  Their commercial customers — many of them have been forced to close.

Please help Orlando convince the Springfield Water & Sewer Commission to freeze the rate by signing this petition.

“I strongly oppose any rate increase being sought by the Springfield Water & Sewer Commission, at this time on behalf of everyone who will be severely impacted by this unjustified jump in their water bills.  I respectfully ask the Commission to FREEZE their current rate, until this pandemic is over.”
